Free bikes were great, especially for exploring the city and getting some exercise. The continental breakfast was decent, although I couldn't resist adding extra toppings to my waffle. The garden and terrace were perfect for some relaxation time.
The bathroom in my private room was a charming experience, with its ever-flooding shower and falling shower curtain. Wet floors are sooo trendy!

The staff at this hostel were incredibly helpful. I remember asking for directions to the Great Museum of the Maya World, and the receptionist went above and beyond to explain it to me. It felt like having a personal tour guide, but with a much better sense of direction!
Housekeeping could be improved.

We had a fantastic stay at Guaya in Merida. the family who owns the hostel made us feel so welcome and comfortable. the beds were comfy, the WiFi connection was great, and the hot showers were a nice touch. We ended up extending our stay because we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a chill and friendly hostel. Cons: Can't think of anything 😄.

The room we stayed in at Guaya Hostel in Merida was amazing! It had a cozy and welcoming vibe, with a dining area and a microwave. We loved making snacks together before heading out at night.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the patio in our selected room. I prefer a more enclosed space, but I can see how others might enjoy it.
